A month before nostalrius was shut down, I was telling people ingame and on the forums that we should expect the server to be shut down since the server became so mainstream. I knew it would happen eventually because blizz cared enough about it to stop nostalrius streaming on twitch. Everyone was telling me they didn't have the legal right and they said the same thing as you. Wishful thinking is all it is.
At this point, if blizz didn't shut down kronos once it gets to the point of population that nostalrius was at, which it may have already have, it's just a matter of time before it gets shut down. They've already established their policy by taking down nostalrius, so if they didn't take down a server that's doing the same shit as nostalrius, people would wonder why kronos was getting a special treatment and cause another debacle that would pressure blizz into shutting it down to stay consistent.
I honestly don't see how anyone could think kronos is going to stay up at this point. Nobody even knows what those other private servers you listed are, so it's obvious why they haven't been shut down.

That's the exact opposite of true. In most of the countries where private servers don't violate copyright laws, it's only under the condition that they don't make money off it. Before nostalrius was shut down, people were saying that blizz has no legal right to C&D BECAUSE it was non-profit, and in the past, before nostalrius was shut down, blizz mainly only gave attention to private servers that were profiting.

It literally took 5 minutes to farm a complete bag, maybe even less if you were in AV or something, I always had a full soulgem bag or whatever it was called + extras. It was borderline impossible to run out unless you were casting soulfire on every other enemy, a talent that no self-respecting raiding warlock even took. Plus later patches made it so you didn't even have to land the killing blow with soul drain, so you could just get them from trash mobs on the way to the boss.
