All the souls games are virtually identical to one another, except BB - never played that. i hear that it's far less clunky though.
DS games are an overglorified piece of shit that I literally can't stand playing for more than 30 minutes without getting bored to death. Bad graphics, broken at worst and flawed at best mechanics, no story and the combat... Oh, lord, even fucking blackgammon has better combat than Dork Souls.
I guess fighting every boss at least 20 times gives /v/ some fleeting sense of achievement or something like that.
