I bought Yakuza when I was 12 and loved it, the fighting was fun, the little extra side missions it was all great. I had read a review on tips and tricks magazine and knew I wanted it.

The translation wasn't bad. 3's biggest fuck-up was taking out sidequests for no reason other than to shrink the number to 100 (plus Amon). And it wasn't because of tranny sensitivity because Michiru's chase missions were all still there.
I'm not too butthurt about taking out mahjong and shogi because they're copypasted into the sequels.
I'm not even that butthurt about removing the cabaret clubs since that shit is as time consuming as most of the minigames put together.
But why take out like 25+ sidequests? It's ludicrous.

You know what I've noticed while fucking with Y3 uncensor patch? Almost all cut quests had a cutscene. Localization team butchered a subtitle format for cutscenes and fixed only story related ones. My guess is they cut all chains of quests that contained cutscenes. Fucking monkeys, I swear.
