Granted when I did it in NG+ with Siegward it felt a lot more solemn but the fight is trash.
Soul of Cinder was definitely my favorite. Seeing it use all those spells, miracles, and pyromancies, the music and moveset shift in the second phase. I was tired of seeing all the Dark Souls 1 shit everywhere, but that fight was really nice and a worthy sendoffbecause Miyazaki won't be making any more, r-right?.
I don't care about difficulty. It was a cool fight.

I've gotta throw down for Soul of Cinder. He was pretty easy all things considered but there was just something about that fight that felt really good. The arena was dope as fuck, the fight felt surprisingly intense despite the aforementioned lack of difficulty, and even though everyone brings it up the fucking music holy shit. Another Anon summed it up pretty well in another thread by saying that the fight felt like a love letter to DaS1 and I couldn't agree more. Really strong way to end what may be the best in the series.

I have a feeling that DaS 3 boss difficulty depends on your play style.
A lot of people find Champion Gundy hard but I killed him first try with Black Knight greatsword. But I had to do 20 retries for Dancer.
I don't find that Nameless king is that difficult either but Pontiff was a nightmare for me.
I have know people who use different weapons/magic and find that Pontiff is easier but NK is more difficult.
Maybe it was your playstyle all along.

I mean I think this is the case in all of the games. There's always a pretty large disparity in perceived difficulty with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 bosses per game. I've always been interested to hear exactly why certain bosses are hard for some people, it would be an interesting perspective especially if it's a boss that I had no problem with. I picked Nameless King because it was aesthetic as fuck and the first few tries I truly thought I was fucked and could never beat him. Oceiros comes close for dat fucking voice acting, even if it was pretty easy. Shit was creepy. None of the bosses were super challenging outside of the few people are picking as like the top 5 though. 2 had more points that had me stuck for a while, and it still has Fumey for hardest boss in the series..

Fuck everyone, this is what every Souls boss should aspire to be.
Mechanically, it's a fight with no sucker punches or dirty tricks. It's two phases, but both phases pass quickly if you know what you're doing and there's no downtime. And if you're placing your hits right during phase two, you can weaken the boss and stop it from recovering.
Story and atmosphere wise, they're intimidating but tragic. You're fucking with a couple of cripples pretty much, but they can still put you down and you know that if they weren't in bad shape already you'd be fucked.
The music and voice acting are really on point here too, but that's just a bonus.
