Souls games are kinda like older games where they encourage multiple playthroughs, large amounts of exploration and experimentation and some cryptic puzzle solving.

That's because the questlines this time around are bullshit retarded.
In 1 i completed a whole bunch of them blind because all you had to do was talk to them at certain spots, and they weren't interconnected.
Now the questlines are "you didn't talk to this NPC in some obscure location which makes this other NPC spawn in another obscure location that you don't even need to go to and you have to spit on the ground and run three circles around him or they'll both go hollow"

First you gotta fight him at the woods place, then get him invade you in the swamp, then give tongue to rosario and go back to last swamp bonfire, he'll have his sign near the tower, between the tower and the ramp
Also kill the big goat monsters, they drop nice stuff and aren't that bad once you figure them out. Also kill the trio, they drop nice bow and hat
