>>
>>335564121
Yeah I'm gonna have to agree with Frost Knights. Bitches are just too fast, have too much reach and can cancel out of their own cooldowns sometimes to smack you for free.
>>
>>335564028

Dogs.

Nothing infuriates me more than dogs.

>>

No way, they're easy as hell.
They're basically the Winter Lantern equivalent but are even less dangerous.

My vote goes to the Pontiff guys in Irithyll.
>>
>>335564121
my vote goes to the Dancer in Lothric, after Dragon Barracks. i've died more to this than most bosses. the route through there is so narrow and QCQ, it's easy to get fucked if you slip up even a little. i run all the way up and kill the Lloyd Talisman chucker first.
i've been trying to parry it, but i just keep getting half parries. i think im gonna just ember up and zerg that fool down.

>>335564176
these guys are completely line of sight based, you can just hide from them. their attacks are fucking perfect for their curse they implement, it's funny. good job devs.

Frost knights for "god please no"

Some of them are standing with their back to a wall and don't move. In order to fully explore you have to take the bullshit max health lowering shit they do. If at least you got the health back it would be fine, but that doesn't happen so you have to waste estus.

I feel like Bloodborne was much harder than Souls 3, agree?

I was stuck on Undead Giant 2, Abhorrent, Bloodletter, Ludwig, and Orphan forever whereas I either killed every boss in one or two attempts in 3.
Literally the only boss who managed to kill me more than once was the final boss, and even he only got me 5 or 6 times. Orphan took me the better part of a night and the day after.

>>
>>335564534

If I were to be completely honest the late game outrider mini bosses are way way harder than both Dancer and Vordt. They move faster and farther and don't telegraph nearly as much.

The leaping rams aren't that much trouble though, at least for me. They give you like a second and a half to dodge out of the way of their leap. The grab comes out real quick though.

Honestly I did not find any enemies individually bullshit or hard to deal with.
That beaing said, I think Dark Souls 3 has the most bullshit enemy teamup potential out of any game. If you have more than one enemy on you they will just somehow manage to make ridiculous attack combos preventing you from soing anything but spam roll in dire hope that you can get at peast one attack/heal in without getting killed

I swear I have not had as many issues with sets of enemies in any other souls game before
>>
>>335564789
Twins are my favorite boss. If you have trouble with them, you'll have trouble with Nameless King, since the main trick for both is to delay your rolls and carefully watch for follow-up combos instead of panic rolling.

Finally beat the game. Let me tell you guys, Ultra Greatsword is total bullshit after it carried me through DaS2 with zero effort B-B-BUT THE FUME KNIGHT IS HARD!!!. Pretty much every boss from midgame aside from Aldrich completely and constantly slapped my shit, even the quickest move (2h light attack) is liable to get you hit even if you only attack once.

On the plus side it made 2dog in the area where you sign up for the Aldrich covenant very easy if you lure the dogs out individually and do a plunging attack.

Nobody is complaining about the difficulty of the enemy, it's that they can deal a huge amount of damage in a few seconds without actually doing anything to you. I actually like them and think they are balanced. They are thematically perfect as jailers that torture and subdue you, driving you insane. Their kit is well designecd. They do a fuck load of dmg and they can stunlock you, but they are slow as fuck, have no poise and little hp. They would be a problem only if there was something in the dungeon that was too fast to reliably dodge, but you can stunlock everything to death.

>>

If you don't use the sword he still collapses after enough damage and you can do a face stab for big damage. Repeat until victory.
It's a bit more fun than using Stormruler but still easy af.
>>
>>335566523
Except doesn't it not even work outside of Yhorm's boss room and doesn't do extra damage to other giants? At least Storm Ruler in DeS could be using for gimmicky shenanigans in the Shrine of Storms.

shoot while the enemy attacks
if you're using a pistol it's DaS1 timing
if you're using a shotgun it's closer to DaS3

you can parry from far away, but too wide a gap and you won't manage to get the riposte

partial parries are common and nowhere near as undesirable as in Souls because a riposte will recover the health you've just lost, you even have a split-second frame of hyperarmor on your shots

BB has both a parry and a charge attack to stagger enemies. If you manage to charge up an attack and hit an enemy in the back, you can shove your hand up their ass for massive damage.

>>335566494
>Do you reall have to parry to win this fight ?
I pretty much had to because like I mentioned before the aggressiveness of the bosses compared to previous Souls games does not bode well for the ultra Greatsword. Had to do the same for Champion Gundyr, although he's a bit more readable (albeit more punishing).
>>
>>335566954
That looks trivial as fuck compared to DSIII. No wonder my friend said parrying in DSIII is much more satisfying and harder to pull off.
>>
The sword-and-shield Lothric Knights for having fast, unpredictable attacks that make them hard to fight reliably, plus the fact that you have to fight more than one at a time.
Frost Knights for the same reason, plus their frostbite buildup.
Silver Knights for the same reason as Lothric Knights plus having lightning damage that means they can hurt you through your shield.
Jailers for being able to deal tons of unblockable damage to anything in their line of sight and for having an instant-kill grab attack.
Those maggot creatures for being able to fill your bleed meter with one hit.
Every single thing you encounter in Archdragon Peak, but especially the chain-axe monsters and the witches who summon ungodly powerful NPCs.
>>
>>335567090
DS3 parry is really wierd.
>>

You mean by hiding behind rocks and shooting arrows at it? If you didn't know, you can kill Yhorm with relative easy by using ranged or magic on his head, go google it.

Also, fuck you, Storm King was a terrible boss. The whole world was piss easy if you don't count reapers and backstab ghosts.

I was actually really disappointed with Archdragon Peak. Other than Nameless I had very few problems with the area. I can see how the chain axe monsters could be a pain in the ass though.

I didn't really have trouble with the snek summoners, but as a rule of thumb, I target spellcasters first. Also Drakeblood Knights are certainly not "ungodly powerful".

Those giants are the easiest enemy to parry in the game, they're pretty much a tutorial for it because otherwise they're pretty tanky.

All of the knights in the game can be aggroed solo without a bow, except for a couple of Pontiff knights, I think.

Pistol parries are easier to time against attacks with less windup, but I always recommend the Blunderbuss, because if you fuck up, you will still generally stagger the enemy and take no damage.

I find they're also more useful outside of parries because I prefer crowd control to ranged damage - blasting dog mobs on their ass after a roll feels pretty good.
>>

BB enemies also cover a lot more area during attacks and do it faster, and bullets have travel time. The further you are, the harder it is to hit the needed frames.

>>335567251
I was using a fire sword against the maggot creatures, so they did go down fast. It's still BS that they can guarantee blood loss by hitting you one time. And those knights are reasonable for unique enemies, but they are way too powerful to be something you're expected to fight every time you leave a bonfire. It's primarily because of their aggressiveness and lightning damage.

>>335567404
That walk up to the Princes wasn't easy, but it was memorable and set up well. It felt like all the remaining soldiers of Lothric had gathered there to defend their rulers. Today I learned from Dark Souls 3's PVP that Bloodborne is default superior too.

I never felt angry when playing Bloodborne but I feel so angry at the Balance inconsistencies in Dark Souls 3.
The Estoc is the new Dark Souls 1 and 2 Uchigatana. Its hitbox is longer than my Pike. Why even have spears if every weapon even the short sword has longer reach? The assholes at IGN told everyone of the Dark Sword and everyone and their mom are abusing it.
Map design is also shit in that there are areas where the host and his phantoms can effectively bunker down and create a murder hole for invaders. I mean the host and his 3 phantoms can effectively form an impasse to invaders. Meanwhile in Bloodborne you can still infiltrate and clean house and then jump out to safety if a host tries to bunker down.

I cannot forgive Fromsoft for designing the Wolnir boss room path. Once the host opens the door, they can effectively stall for time indefinitely inside there. While they summon phantoms to kill you, the bridge behind is also cut. If not yet cut by the host or his phantoms, they will cut it when they spot you. There is no way to not die in that situation because ultimately you have to jump into that hallway again to try and kill the host. Imagine seeing 3 Dark Sword users in that tiny hallway and they're all agro-ing at you once you jump in that area, and the host may or may not hide in Wolnir's room.
Fuck Dark Souls 3's balance.

eh, you can either use hyperarmor or prioritize dodging until they do something unsafe, like the black skeleton flying swipe from Demon's Souls

then you stunlock them to death

Does NO ONE realize that these guys deal damage with ACTUAL line of sight??
