Except for the part where they stated it will not affect early adopters. All of that shit listed is solely for 4k resolution. They aren't going to make games that will only work on PS4k. It would be stupid for developers to do that.

Look at your task manager and youll see that your cpu will be constantly fluctuating. Mine runs at ~1.7ghz when im not doing anything, and once I start a game it goes up to ~3.7ghz

The claim is that NEO won't get any exclusive games and it won't get any exclusive content for games. I don't know what the incentive is to switch then -- unless NEO is actually going to stick around a while?
If it's just going to be replaced by the PS5 in another ~2 years, then what's the point? Unless they are going to intentionally make PS5 not backwards compatible?
Even if they say "no PS5 isn't coming in 2 years", I don't know how you even trust them. While the GPU is a good step up, that CPU upgrade is not enough to hit 60fps on games struggling to hold 30 on the original PS4. With no exclusive content, I'm left wondering how they'll get consumers to migrate over and the only thing I can think of is major titles being gimped. Think Gran Turismo, God of War, or FF15 which is chugging along at what seems to be 24fps.
I didn't buy a PS4, so I don't personally feel burned.

What if a PS5 can't be justified at the moment? It doesn't seem like technology will develop enough so that the jump from the PS4 to PS5 would be like the one between the PS3 and PS4.
If it's just used to boost resolution, that's fine. The PS4 was always for 1080p TVs. If it runs at higher fps or with better effects, that's not fair.
I don't even have a PS4, I just don't like the idea of gimping the original console's versions after 2-3 years.

It's pretty clear that there is room for improvement in the PS4's CPU. They made a pretty good jump on the GPU.
I see what you're saying, but I think it justifies the existence of the NEO even less. At the end of the day, it is what it is but I'm not really seeing the case for this upgrade in 2016 as opposed to a PS5 in 2018.
