I agree with both, however I wouldn't say either are "horrible", just overrated and flawed - both have good design and sound elements but both don't have good game feel, Witcher 3 for having repetitive combat for an RPG and Fallout 4 for being way way too easy even on hardest difficulty I was lugging 999 ammo for practically everything only a few quests in.

I wouldn't say the game itself is bad, but I fucking hated playing it. Being immortal means the only way the game can challenge you is to make everything fucking inconvenient. Boss fights are 1-hit KO, or infuriating as shit like the Bunny boss. Having your abilities locked away in conjunction with the whole transformation thing sometimes made me unsure if I couldn't get a treasure because I lacked an ability or need to transform. Affecting prior worlds is cool, but backtracking is not particularity fun in a game where platforming can be made so tedious by enemies transforming you. I don't mind difficulty, but this game just annoys the player most of the time. Vastly preferred and fucking love Warioland 1 though.

I like the universe and setting a whole lot. I think it's overrated but still a fun, good series.

I like the original Halo trilogy not so much for the gameplay but it tickles my simulation fetish.
Halo really took enemy in-fighting to another level. With the large amount of different factions, the war-like atmosphere was really on another level.
The covenant with their weak weaponry but careful A.I. and, if on legendary, extremely dangerous elites
The humans with their retarded AI but their powerful weaponry and vehicles
The flood with their vast numbers and their ability to make more of themselves, but their lack of weaponry and mostly using melee to fight
Each faction had their own strengths and weaknesses and I enjoyed just sitting back and watching them fight over actually playing the game.

I had the literal opposite happen to me a week ago.
I used to hate the game, and shat on people who liked it for keks and other low test related short term goals.
I went and started the game again from the beginning and not gloss over an inch of the level;
and quite frankly this games level design is pure genius.
Like fuck, I don't even pay attention to these things that much, but for a genre I'm not familiar with, its laid out so fucking well, and you don't NEED to be told shit, its so good.
Use all the things you have, and go to all the doors you haven't when you get the next thing, the dead ends you've been rubbing up against suddenly make sense. Not just the "oh dur thats how I open the door", but how you approach the whole area.
And how splitting paths work just make me fucking moist, its so good, ones progression but blocked off, but theres still some nice shit for you to get, other direction is hard enemies and boss, you're never left empty handed when you choose where to go.
I wish I could articulate this better, poor english, but I should probably finish the game, and then do it again but faster.

The things that shoot sound n feel good.
The multiplayer is brimming with replayablity and freedom of player creativity.
