Problem is that this is becoming a norm in game development.
Game is developed, put on retail price as early access pre-alpha game with promises that it will be finished, dev gets the money from gullible retards and it stays in that state forever because devs did their job.

There are enough people on steam that play "trend" Early Acess Alphas just until the playerbase dies off, and consider that they got their money's worth. They don't care about the game, they're looking for server-esque community. I don't see an end to this trend. Ill give ARK as an example. Still around 50,000 players essentially beta-testing it.

Early Access is meant to be a "help us develop the game" thing, and it itself is not evil, there's some good shit that's come out of it, Drunken Robot Pornography and every part of Don't Starve off the top of my head.
The problem is that games like Planetary Annihilation and Starbound, who don't actually give a fuck and just want your money abuse the hell out of it.

This is simply wrong. If they hand out a demo, it's never the full game. You get the first levels to try it out and decide if you gonna buy it, but it does not mean the final game is released, even if that's mostly the case.
