Been using this since the beginning of the game. Hasn't let me down and haven't found a replacement yet. Is there anything better?

Grass crest shield. Apparently it's a meme though, which is weird because it only blocks 89% physical damage
I'm simply far too aggressive to use anything else. I NEED that stamina, and do much better in PvP and PvE alike when I have boosted stamina regen.
I'd almost always rather dodge or parry instead of blocking, so the non 100% physical block doesn't bother me.

There's no other shield to use.
It's light weight, has high stability, and has excellent fire protection. It's a shame it can't parry anymore, but who needs that.

If you want a knight shield with parry, get the silver one. Has a smidge more stability than a black one with a parry but the absorption's kind of all over the place without a definitive strength.

Way to gimp yourself. The shield always becomes a crutch--you learn to play much better without one.
That said, this baby is my one true love.
I wanna use Yorhms but you need a stupid amount of load to be able to carry that with armor that isnt rags

Haven't played DS3, but the first 2 had plenty of narrow ledges and cliffs, where dodging wrong would fuck you over. Catacombs and upper blightown immediately come to mind

I use a two hand strength build as well and you might as well use the grass crest shield at the same time. Even on your back you get the stamina regen.

Hold it up when you see the attack coming, if you are late on the roll it bonks the shield, otherwise you dodge and lose no more stamina than if you hadn't held the shield up.
I've been using silver eagle kite shield. Is its skill effect pretty unique?

This is what I do. I dodge 90% of attacks, but when I don't my shield gets the hit, not me.

Nah, there are others. I don't know if there are any that are better, but any shield with a little sword icon next to it has the weapon art effect. Parry shields have a solid circle for an icon.

Since I use the Drang Hammers it's useful to surprise people by pretending to turtle and then jumping into the weapon art
