Last I remembered, it was around 90% done but the head of the project found quality issues in translations by the other translators on his team so he decided to redo them all. Then he got burnt out while doing that too.

I'm surprised no one has made a smartphone app that translates japanese text through a camera and actually make it coherent. We were close to having that with Google Glass but people who like to verbally shitpost in another language got mad about it.
