what do you do with your old consoles and games?

do you keep them or sell them?
>>
my ex gf has my 360. i didn't wanna see her, so i told her should could just have it
>>
>>334941189
I keep them because of nostalgia I´m so attached to them to sell them
>>
Keep them. Still play them today. I even bought a few backup consoles.
>>
Keep em, usually.

I might sell a particular game if it sucked or if I have an updated version, but I don't usually sell my stuff.
>>
>>334941189
used to sell them. now im actually getting them again, and some consoles I didnt own before like the Sega Saturn.

>I keep them because of nostalgia I´m so attached to them to sell them
same here but I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing

I mean I have tons of games at home, in mint condition. consoles too. but I don't think I will ever play them again

it's pure nostalgia. I'm emotionally attached to them. that's all

I know I can get quiet a lot of money if I sell them. I'm really tempted
>>
Sell them once I can emulate there games on pc
>>

>i lick my lips and smile
>Pull my 360 towards towards my dick
>put my finger in its disc drive
>I touch my 360's cord insertions
>I thrust my dick in the disc drive

>my 360's fans start activating trying to breathe
>I cum inside my 360 so hard
>red ring of death
>bury my 360 in my backyard covered in cum, lube, and mineral oil.
>>
Keep them, sometimes give them to friends if I really don't need them.
I gave my brother my old 3DS w/ a circle pad pro and AuRei-A9LH when I got my N3DS a few weeks back.
>>
>>334941189
I sold my ps and ps2 as I can play those games on my ps3, then I sold most of my ps games after some retard paid 300€ for FF7, FF8 and FF9 in total and someone else paid 200€ for Tombi
>>
>>334941189
Sell the consoles, keep the games and the controllers.
>>
>>334942967
strange decision
>>
>>334943031
Its really rare to find good quality controllers and people expect you to pay retarded prices for games.

Meanwhile most old consoles go from $10 to $30 you can rebuy every now and then.
>>
>>334941189
keep. you're gonna need those old games when gaming dies in 5 years

Because some games cost like a leg to get again.

Sure emulation is a thing nowdays, but nothing beats have the physical thing.
>>
I keep mine. I used to trade shit in a lot when I was younger, and I regret it 90% of the time. I traded in KH2 and bought it again years later, then bought the 2.5 version. I also keep the boxes just in case.
>>
>>334941189
I keep em. What if I want to replay one of those old games? Plus it's nice seeing something somewhat resembling a collection.

10 years and still works. currently playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

I'll never let go...
>>
>>334941189
I keep it

but for example, when I want to play gamecube I emulate it instead of playing the actual system
>>
>>334944079
I just got mine that was stored in the closed of a friend because he got converted to a religion where he wasn't allowed to play videogames when he was young.
The console is pretty much untouched but is missing the AV cables, going to get some S-video cables for it.

Got 007 and going to softmod it soon.

What are some must play games for the PS2? so far i only have planned to play katamari damacy.
>>
Will I regret selling my entire vidya collection?
>>
>>334944773
Depends, for what are you going to use the money?

Dont sell N64, SNES and Handheld games.
Sell your PS2, Wii and DS games since you can just play them with a R4, USB or burned discs.

my top list (debatable)

1. Timesplitters: Future Perfect
2. God of War 2
3. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
4. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
5. Crash Tag Team Racing
6. Crash: Twinsanity
7. Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex
8. Shadow of the Colossus
9. Killer 7
10. Sims 2 Castaway

Get Component Cables btw. worked well in my end
>>
>>334941753
If you really need money, they might be worth selling. Otherwise I think you'll regret it down the road. I sold my PS2 plus all my games a while back, one of the biggest fuck ups of my life.
>>
Why the fuck would you sell them you fag? I only ever sell games that I know I will never have a desire to play again, but if I really love a game I want to own it physically in my collection.

Physical copies are the main reason I still like consoles, if those go out the door then I am ditching consoles forever without a second thought.
>>
>>334941189
Never, ever ditch your old games or consoles. You never know if you'll be able to get them back.
>>
>>334944706
Silent Hill 1-3 are the best games of all time in my opinion, and 1 is PS1 while 2-3 are PS2. Shadow of the Colossus is an obvious one, Spider-Man 2 is great fun, and Destroy All Humans is a fun, silly little game that doesn't really play like anything else around.
>>
Normally I keep them. Still have my atomic purple GBC and Pokemon Crystal. However MH4U was dog shit so off it goes to Gamestop. Probably gonna buy weed or something idk yet

I sold Bayonetta 2 because I needed some cash and I always saw it in every games store ever for thirty bucks. THE NEXT FUCKING DAY SHE WAS ANNOUNCED FOR SMASH and it's been ~120 bucks on Amazon ever since.

Don't be a fucking retard like me, don't sell your games.
>>
>>334945537
this. I know a guy who sold Panzer Dragoon Saga for $50 in 1998. Though it's an extreme case, you'll never know when nostalgia calls
>>
>>334944706
MGS series, O-motherfucking-kami, ZoE 2nd runner, Goddo Hand, FFX/XII if you're into that, Silent Hill 2, Shinobi, Wipeout fusion.

I'm thinking about selling them for quite some time now. Everything is packed in a few boxes and just sits there. For years. What is the point?

Increase their value.
Autism can give people strong impulses.

I sold Smash melee for $60 last black friday.
Now imagine how much people will pay for it in a couple of years more.

>Selling your old games
>>
I keep them now.

Before when I didn't know any better, my older brother and mom would sell the consoles we weren't touching as much anymore, and I didn't think or know any better to say anything against it.

Around the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation, after one final console trade, I started to want to hold on to everything and so I did. I've slowly begun to collect all of the sold-off systems I used to own. Got a SNES a long time ago in a bundle, found a Dreamcast at a Goodwill, and got a Genesis for free. Gonna work to get an N64 soon.

My DS sometimes fails to boot, gets stuck in the boot screen.

Sometimes the game freezes too but im sure that its my R4/SD fault.

>>

>>
>>334946873
planned obsolescence, I guess.

Funny thing is both my phat ps3 (ylod, 4th time) and my slim ps2 (disk reading errors) are out of commission.

I'll have to rebuy them and keep my fingers crossed, I guess.
>>
>>334944706
Kingdom Hearts, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, MGS
>>
>>334946873
No fucking idea, I still have my fat ps3 running and kicking

I always keep my systems, usualy because even if I have a new one, there are still games I want for the old one or games I have that I still haven't finished.
>>
I keep even the games I hate to remind me of my stupidity
>>
>>334946902

Shadow of Rome (if you bear the Stealth levels)
Mercenaries 1
The trilogy furry series of Sony:
Sly
Ratchet & Crank (deadlock/gladiator is also good)
Jak & Daxter

Yakuza 1&2
I will not post other obvious games already posted, the ps2 have a pretty long list.
If you want tto know you can also put a HDD in the ps2 and load games from it or load ISO directly from the computer trought a LAN cable

They'll only increase in worth as time goes on. Whether you plan on selling them or not, it's in your best interest to keep them as long as possible unless you really need some cash

Keep 'em, usually. I still keep my PS2 in a place I can easily get to it because it's the only console that can play my favorite game, PS3 and emulation has a really bad glitch halfway through that you can't get past without using a PS2 anyway.

I say usually because "my" NES and SNES turned out to be from a friend of my grandparents who's son died, and he let me borrow them for a few years. I was fucking heartbroken when he came and took them back.

So oldest console I actually own is the N64 or the original purple Gameboy Color, whichever was first.
>>
I made a small fortune selling my rather huge 3DS games collection once I hacked my 3DS.
Bought a PS4 with the proceeds.
>>
>>334941189
Keep them, of course.
That way, in the future, I'll be able to play my favorites as they were with my kids.
Cause that'll happen, surely.
>>
>>334951803
Same here. I had a good SD card lying around anyway. No need to keep all those games if I can just download them and put them on my 3DS. Made about 300 bucks out of it. Could've gotten a lot more as well if half my titles weren't eShop downloads. Made a little note to myself to always buy physical releases from now on, so I can sell them once emulation/homebrew is perfected.
>>
I bought a Super Nintendo with Super Mario World and Secret of Mana for ten bucks.

Dunno why now that I have a homebrew Wii.
