It's his V trigger after he launches one he can keep hitting light strong and firece to keep sonic booms coming at the cost of his Bar. It takes him 3 bars to get a V trigger and it lets you launch 5 extra booms. If you put up V skill then do ex sonic boom before you begining the V trigger barrage the first boom has 4 hits on it and will absorb anything. He is a very strong zoner in this game.

Anti-air everything, c.mp is so godlike it can even hit crossups, it will force your opponent to play footsies, use your mk to poke them and mp xx bull head to counter their own pokes
Avoid using v-reversal unless you're about to get stunned, v-trigger allows for some great comeback opportunities
EX bull head into v-trigger is completely safe on block, on hit you can follow with cr.hp xx bull horn
Every command normals are unsafe on block, use them wisely
For some specific matchups:

I never found any of that impressive. The way Rufus/Guile plays is Guile winning the match with just fierce until Rufus can finally corner him and try to take it with divekick setplay. The input for Shades of Glory is downback + taunt. He's storing charge during it and Brentt has to wait to see what Guile will do because Rufus can absolutely not move in on a charging Guile.
It's different against KBrad where Decapre or Cammy can cross the stage during the twenty vulnerable frames but Brentt wasn't even on that level back then. Unless they have a history of being boys, it's just a kid being mean-spirited.

Bull Horn has some startup (12fs or so), but the input is just letting go of a button so it's not too hard to use. It's a great anti-air if you have a charge ready because the hitboxes are so good and it does 130 damage and a grip of stun (~200). cr strong is already consistent and much easier to use, though.
For anti-fireball you'd be surprised how far it goes. On top of that, anyone throwing a fireball extends a hurtbox pretty far as they throw it and that persists a little ways into the recovery.
In VTrigger, Bull Head and Horn both get a hit of armor on their startups. Horn also gets more horizontal range that lets you punish fireballs easier.

Guile is one of the most recognizable and liked World Warriors of all time, so you aren't wrong. My only guess was since SFV clearly had post-launch planned before development, they kept Nash and Guile from both being in the launch to keep the small roster as different as possible. Nash making his comeback is a big enough deal to trump Guile's OG status, I guess.
