The game will, at most, use 3-4GB of memory. 8GB will be ideal, 12-16GB is overblown. That said though, most people who play on PC and want to run the game maxed out at 60fps or higher at 2560x1440 or higher, all have 16GB or more memory; so it's sometimes easier to say "fuck it," and slap the 16GB to it.
