Autism, especially when relying on skipping entire sections of games.
It's literally just muscle memory, which anyone can develop if they choose to sink hundreds of hours playing one game over and over again and try to be .05 seconds faster.

Depends. Speed runs from start to finisb are interesting. Speed runs where the glitch through entire sections or exploit it shouldn't be considered a run. Literally not playing 80-90% of a game when they do that.

It's nothing but grinding out inputs to get the best time. It's kinda lame, and the popularity of twitch has turned them all into begging jewish faggots, and trippled up on the shitty drama and circlejerking.
I greatly prefer TAS stuff. The goal is to make an entertaining video about what crazy shit can be done with perfect inputs, not circlejerking over which autist autismed the hardest.

1, I personally call them glitch runs when they have to use glitches to set records.
2, They're interesting in some aspects such as how the glitch is done, or when something stupid happens with the audience. Rest of the time it's boring.

I liked it at first because it brought back an age of videogames where people cared about high scores and shit. It was molested into something worse now thanks to twitch
I used to speed run RE4 on the playstation back in the day.
I'd do my own commentating like I was a sportscaster, just pretty much praising every decision I'd make as I went.
It was usually like, 8 hours 'cause I would skip cutscenes a little late, and was still grabbing the valuable treasure, instead of skipping it all.
I like the amount of replay value speedrunning adds to a game. But there're a lot of autists around.
