Then after exploring the hubworld I embarked on my second mission. Upon landing, I explore the greenish streets, and to my surprise, enemies respawn and are fucking everywhere.
So I do what any reasonable brouzouf addict would do: I climbed the shot out of everything. I eventually sneak into a building and test my new sword on a rat thing (it was pretty cute actually, so I was kinda sad when it exploded).
Then I find a guy who thinks I'm a hitman of sorts (I might be), and upon talking to him I remember that I did agree to killing him. He tried to bribe me with brouzouf, so I took the bribe and then stabbed him in the back with this hugeass exploding electric sword.
And that's where I left the game because I had exams. I'm gonna play it again today, dang it.

you should really keep going, the game gets intense when you start having all these things told to you and you don't know who is telling you this or what the thing means but somewhere deep down in yourself you get very emotionally attached to the concept some dude just told you and then you get more concepts that you really like and then you're shooting cyberdemons and backstabbing helicopters with a hammer and it's just bizzare but the core shooting gameplay just gets more fun because you invest more points in your legs.

It was probably designed by 10 year olds throwing "X is awesome, let's have X!" ideas without giving any thought to it. And that's it's entire charm - it's just a wild ride through a world governed by the rule of cool.
It helps that they nailed what really matters too - guns. They feel great and they sound great. Stuff like writing and balance is completely secondary - and even then I'd risk saying that the dialogue hits the golden spot of "so bad it's good".
