As much as I like Vesperia, I think Graces F gameplay was really good. Aside from the link system fucking over multiplayer, Xillia 1 and 2 had good gameplay as well. The battle system is Zestiria however, now that was shit. Unfortunately Berseria looks more like Zestiria than any other Tales game, so I don't have very high hopes for it being good.

got my 3.55 PS3 2 weeks ago and the wait+$170 was absolutely worth it. just started act 2, and it really is the last truly great Tales game that everyone says it is. I have fond memories of Tales of Destiny DC on the PS2, and I've never played much of the 3D tales games besides screwing around in Vesperia with some friends.

alright game but rushed to hell. the combat is fun but easily broken and the bosses can brake out of your combos whenever they feel like it. i did like all the characters minus alvin.

while the gameplay has been vastly improved, xilla 2 feels more like an expansion pack than a squeal. it suffers from reusing all the areas and enemies from the fist game while just adding a few new areas. (you even get to fight all the bosses from the first game again) ludguer, while fun to play, is a silent protag and that just annoyed the shit out of me. he just felt out of place and i could`t connect with him. his life is suffering however which, is pretty fun to watch.
