>weakest weapon is actually the strongest weapon in the game.
that doesn't make sense
>>334774306
That doesn't make any sense
>>334774360
>>334774412
It does if there's only one weapon
>starting pistol remains viable throughout the entire game
Any other games that do this besides Deus ex and Dead Space?
>>334774360
>>334774412
>hidden power that's only revealed in the final boss fight
>>334774306
I assume you mean later it becomes the best?
>Force Edge becomes Sparda, equivalent of an always on DT sword

RE4, but only if you can get headshots
>>334774582
Any tacticool game, really.
Castle Crashers, you get XP based on number of hits, so if you keep your melee attack weak you can get more levels.

>Ammo only drops for the weakest weapon
>most powerful weapons outside of sidequest ones are all gag weapons
>>334774582
>You can beat the game with starting equipment or with no upgrades
>There is even a trophy/achievement for it
I love it when games do this. The difficulty is as high as you want it to be when you have that much control over what is necessary.

GTA 4

The 3rd Birthday. Keep using it and Max out your pistol aptitude, it becomes mad OP due to the infinite ammo and high accuracy.

This is what I get for carrying a flamethrower around in DS1. Fucking shit weapon when it should have been perfect against fleshy necros.
>>334774959
>Having too much of a certain type of ammo increases the drops for other ammo types
>Consistently receive powerful ammo types for the rest of the game because you hoarded all the common ones
>>334775486
What games do this?
>>334774582
Halo 1 pistol.
>>334774959
>Ammo drops based on what you need ie if you have max of a certain ammo, it doesn't drop anymore.
>>334774582
Halo 1, although it was less viable, then this is OP as shit what were you thinking?
Devil May Cry.

Recently, the one that comes to mind is The Evil Within. If you hold out from using your handgun and matches, shotgun shells drop more frequently. If you still refuse to use the shotgun, sniper rifle ammo starts dropping more often. So on and so forth.

The Pistol from Renegade. Does nothing to vehicles and buildings though.
>Great weapon becomes weaker as it levels, and is nigh useless at max level.
>You are now attempting to avoid all the upgrade shards as you fight with this weapon that you would totally pick up for literally every other weapon because of this.

This is why RE4 will probably be my GOAT
>x weapon run
>no upgrade run
>pistol only run
>no merchant run
>>334778604
RE4 and REmake will always have a special place in my heart for reasons like that and then some.
>>334777027
I always went with the Spur over the Nemesis, can't fathom why anyone would pick the latter.

I've been playing that game recently but I took a break a while ago. Is it worth grinding one of your characters as onion knight? How long would I have to grind roughly?
