As for my pic, I Red makes the best partner for her out of the main cast. Closest to her (relative) age, and though they deal with their problems differently ultimately their primary motivation is protecting their home/family. Plus, I got super tired of everyone paring her with Vincent. Ugh.

I actually have a soft spot for it and I kind of wish they would make a sequel.
I believe there was some bugs present in the Japanese version that were fixed in the US version. I can't comment too much on the gameplay since I don't usually play games in that sort of genre, but I didn't feel like the gameplay was so bad it was unplayable. I guess I was neutral towards it.
The one issue I ran into was when I didn't stock up on ammunition before a certain boss fight and ran out. There was no way to hit the boss using melee and there was no ammo refills in the boss room. Luckily, the game makes multiple save points instead of writing over the previous one, so I could go back to a save point before a miniboss instead of having to start the game over.

Oh, I thought one of them might have been a robot the other got to do maintenance on. That's the idea I like with Lucca and Megaman. Any of the Megaman robots would work really, but I feel like the robot masters, or Bass, or Protoman, would be too edgy or have no reason to stick around at all. While Megaman's excess innocence would make things cuter.

in that same game Ryusei hits on 3 female looking robots that have AI in them so they talk back and he freaks out.
First is Fei-Yin from Vutrua-On. Then later the Ryu sisters from GaoGaiGar Final and that gets Fei-Yin jealous.
I think Sora and Ariel had some potential chemistry. And it isn't like she and Eric have a strong basis for their relationship.
