Why is the MMORPG genre so boring now a days?
Whatever happened to designing MMORPGs to be RPGs, not Grind/Gambling simulators.

Every single MMO ever has had grinding in some fashion. In fact the grinding/gambling aspect used to be 100x what it is now.

WoW was a whirlwind of adventure compared to the old neverending grind of everquest.

Their worlds felt more alive. Not just "queue up for X event and sit in a capital city. Then teleport to the location instantly".
