I used that for a long while but seeing as it's unique it's a lot harder to upgrade. Switched to a +6 Dark Sword.

Long Sword with heavy infusion gets A scaling with STR so i went with that. I didn't check the Ice Sword but if it gets the same scaling that's cool too. I mainly play with the Artorias sword and Butcher's Knife, but needed a good 1h for this fight.

Jesus fucking Christ, the difference is night and day. The Dark Sword +10 does almost as much damage as the Astora Greatsword +10 but you can spam the R1 fast as shit.

yeah - you need a good weapon (i had A scalling long sword with STR) and you need to time your rolls well. Even if i had a lightning infused shield, it didn't help me a lot since he would drain all my stamina with 2 hits. I mostly rolled and only blocked when i was about to die.

How could it mess up so bad?
I honestly can't believe it. PvE later on is such a mess. Poise is a mess. The game is incredibly soul stingy. Rings+2 are barely stronger than standard rings. Most weapons are shit besides straight swords which rule. Enemies are ds2-tier dumb, probably even worse. They all have 7 hit combos.

not sure what you are talking about. I remember pretty much hating DS2 as i was playing it for the first time because of how annoying and bland it was most of the time. When i am in DS3 however, i love it. I loved all the areas so far, the enemies are well made and fun to fight. Bosses are cool too.

Just beat the game a while ago
it was pretty cool at first but then it just became the biggest chore of any souls game ever. some bosses were extremely piss easy and some areas as well. like in all games you eventually die to some cheap shit or a dumb mistake and have to backtrack all over the place, ds3 seemed to make this part worse than ever. the ending was also shit, but what can i expect at this point
