What? You don't have a million 10 foot cables lying around?
>>
>>334672064

Why would I need one of those?
>>
>>334671739
it's that short cause you're not supposed to play it while it's charging cause it'll ruin the battery that's why you fucking phone lasts for 30 mins on a full charge cause you text and shit while it's on the charger
>>
>>334672143

Huh? I don't own a telephone.

Mine's the normal 4-5 foot size. That new or something?

>It is the PlayStation 4 controller cable

No, thanks a USB A to micro-B cable. Sony has nothing to do with its creation and should not be named in describing the cable.

Mine's longer

Jealous?

I actually prefer wired controllers.
No need to recharge batteries and that slightly better input response.
Every person I met who complained about wires were irresponsible slobs who had mess and shit all over the joint

>>
>>334672143

This dude is exactly right. Faggots and trolls don't even understand how batteries work.

None of these modern Li-ion battery powered devices run on the cable's power alone. They all operate on the battery itself, so if you use these devices while charging them you are effectively slowing the rate of charge down to nothing because you are increasing draw to either close to or over actual inbound current. If you charge off a computer or console, you are getting at most 0.5A current, and while using a device like a smartphone with the screen brightness up and radios on, you can draw up to 1.5A/hr.

So these retard casuals who browse FaceBook with their phones on max brightness on WiFi and cell radios and Bluetooth etc, are actually draining their battery faster than it can charge. The numbers lie too. It'll say it's at 90%, but it really isn't. It has to dynamically update once you unplug it. And it'll drain rapidly to it's real state, which is likely somewhere around 50% or less from all the heavy usage while it was charging.

Pro tip for everyone charging devices, including game controllers:

DO NOT USE IT WHILE IT CHARGES. Plug it in to a wall outlet over a computer or console. Do not let it sit at max charge and plugged in for extended periods of time.

Doing the above will grant you a healthy battery that maintains charge for a much longer period of time.

NEVER leave things plugged in over night.

You want to tell me it doesn't matter to you because you'll replace it in a couple years, fine. But do not fucking act like a casual ignorant moron and say it doesn't negatively affect the battery's health. It fucking does.

My cousin's step dad actually believes this. They watch daytime television or whatever on their HD TV while she has to play games on a shitty not HD TV because he's afraid playing games will leave burn images

The battery could be ruined to the point of 5 seconds for all I care, I don't want a wireless controller in the first place.

this may come as a surprise anon but you don't have to be attatched to your phone constantly
Mine charges in about 1.5 hours anyway so its not like its even that long.

ayy lmao, loner

>>
>>334674624
That guy is full of shit and doesn't even have any sources.
Most smartphones nowadays know when the battery is full and will stop charging. Leaving your phone charging overnight will not damage it in any way.
Using your phone while it charges will also not damage it in any way.
>inb4 no sources either
Here's one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBKuOomv9Ko
And you can find plenty more easily.

At night while at my PC and waiting to go to bed. I have a Note 5 and it charges in an hour tops from like 20%. In that hour, I might get a few text messages, but that's it. I'm not browsing the web or video streaming shit.

By the time I am done browsing the web for the night or playing games, I just shut down my PC, turn around and unplug it because I see the little green light on indicating it's done.

Technically, you aren't even supposed to let it drain that low in the first place. You SHOULD be charging it around 50% and stopping it at most at 90%. These batteries are designed to last the longest when they maintain a certain voltage. You can't see this voltage from the default battery stats, but you don't need to. All you need to know is 40% - 80% is the absolute ideal range for maximum battery health. Now compared to the other tips I posted, this is not necessary and only should be practiced if you have maximum OCD and plan on keeping a battery/phone for as long as possible. My Note 2 which I kept for 3 years still has about ~80% of it's original capacity after measuring it's draw over the course of several days and averaging it out. That's pretty fucking good for 3 years. If you tested the average retard's phone, someone who plugs it in at night and leaves it on the charger until they wake up. Or the bimbos who plug their phones in and sit there on the couch browsing FaceBook for hours on end, wondering why the fuck it takes so long for their phone to charge, you'll find they're at 80% health in as little as 6 months. After a year of this kind of usage, you can expect 50% or less battery capacity. They're the reason there's a market for OEM and 3rd party batteries.

I don't. I buy a new phone when the battery is empty. Because I know how modern batteries work. Don't believe me? It's all in the numbers. If you charge off a computer or console, you are getting at most 0.5A current, and while using a device like a smartphone with the screen brightness up and radios on, you can draw up to 1.5A/hr.
