They nerfed a decent portion of the game with the rerelease.
Jump rope game feels a lot easier, as does impressing the nobles.
At least they fixed a lot of grammar errors that bothered me while growing up.

What do you get for impressing all 100 nobles or for the jump rope game? Never was able to do it in the past.

Impressing 100 nobles bags you the Moonstone early. While not broken, it does give you access to Beast Killer and Shell earlier than normal.
Jump Rope game only gives you the Jump Rope Champion key item. A moogle will comment in a letter later in-game saying he jumped so many times.
You can get some really good Tetra Master cards early if you get 50-300 jumps.

This happened to me the first time I played the game.
I was kind of ok with it since my autistic tendecies thought it was funny the game being FF9 and impressing 99 nobles.
