Why do people insist on playing the same exact map, almost exclusively, for 10+ years?
dust2 fags arent the only people I'm talking about, it happens for different games as well.
Can anyone explain the logic behind this?

Because at least with dust2, it's a near-perfectly balanced map that doesn't truly favor one side or the other. Unlike gimmick maps like train or militia or office, there's nowhere to sit around and casually pick off players besides the one shot from T spawn, which still provides barely any visibility.
In short, people don't want to mess with perfection. At least, until they get into fy_poolday.

IDK some maps are more fun than others, every good fps has these types of servers, even console fps has the same thing, I remember playing the same maps in R6NV for months and I still play cs office exclusively

Look, dust2 and office aren't the only maps in CS with a lot of players in them. Just because someone likes a map, doesn't mean that they like it enough to play it for 10+ years. So "people like it" and "people play it" isn't an explanation, because it applies to most maps in any given FPS game.
Hell, 2fort in TF2 has a lot of players in it, has people who have played it for nearly 10 years, yet most people agree that it's a shit map.
