i genuinely enjoyed TPS. i know people had their issues with it, and i did too, but ice > slag by a fucking thousand times. that and stomping and oZ kits > trinkets or whatever their called in the other two games.

Borderlands was great. Really fucking fun and Borderlands 2 was probably my second most hyped for game ever. Too bad 2 and the pre memequel were so fucking garbage.

started TPS for the first time yesterday
playing as the cowgirl chick
on second playthrough and feeling that enemy lasers are OP as fuck
other than that, I'm enjoying it. The memes are nowhere near as obnoxious as BL2 and the "look at me I'm a lesbian! A LESBIAN!" is easily ignored.

I skipped a lot of the side quests so that I kept the story missions level appropriate.
More fun to do them second playthrough when they're actually a challenge

Borderlands 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. I thought it was funny and just fun.
I tried to preorder the loot cache BL2 super edition, but I got fucked. Then it came out and my preorder from newegg didn't come with the other playable character.
Then the game fucking sucked, exponential enemy health made it grindy as shit, and the characters were less fun than the original 4.
THEN the mother fucking old memes nonstop.
Haven't played anything past 2, don't have any will to. It left such a bad fucking taste in my mouth.

Why did people even like the first Blunderlands
Everyone was boring or annoying and did nothing, the story was paper thin and enemy selection was weak and full of bullet sponges. I honestly always try to finish every game I start but Borderlands 1 made my fucking head hurt with how boring it was. Despite all of its' faults, even 2 I was able to finish.

To me, the story was absolute garbage, the whole process of getting from time lengthening wall to time lengthening wall was not even attempted to be disguised at all,and the whole reason why Jack got evil made almost no sense and the only thing it achieved was make Lilith look even worse.
The side quests were even more tedious than before.
Fast travel stations were too far and away from each other which made the side quest even more frustrating.
I'm not sure if it's as bad as it is in the other two, but I went from being over leveled to under leveled in about an hour because I didn't go back to do the side quests.
The whole "look at me I'm a lesbian! A LESBIAN!" thing wasn't as bad as /v/ would like you to believe, although it is rather annoying that about 95% of the men in the game were assholes in one way or another and literally all the women were either "Strong independent womyn who don't need no men!" or reluctant villain.
I have multiple playthroughs with bothe Borderlands 1 and 2, but I couldn't get pass through the Pre-Sequel not because I found the game too hard, but I was just so bored of the game I resulted to cheating so I could get to the end faster. Maybe I'll playthrough it again next time it comes on Steam to give it a second chance.

I would also like to add that it almost did nothing to the formula and would've been perfectly happy about the game if it was marketed as a $25 - $30 standalone expansion rather than a full $60 game + a $30 season pass that have even less content than BL2's season pass.
