Play Demon's Souls first.
They are all stand-alone games, but you may have trouble with Dark Souls 3 since it pretty much expects of you to have grasped the combat in previous games.
Dark Souls 2 is the weakest game and also has some very unfair elements.

I wouldnt skip DS2. Its not as good as other ones but its still much better than everything else on the market when it comes to action RPGs, and a really good game, especially after they fixed a lot of stupid stuff with Scholar release.

You most def shouldnt jump into DS3 without completing at least DS1. Theres tons and tons of references, enemy types that come back and surprise you with new tricks, NPCs etc.
Game expects you to have played previous ones in the series. and youre basically missing out on half of the content if youre a newfag and start with DS3 because of the hypetrain.

No full eye orbs ruined the PvP community. Soul Memory then beat the corpse.
Making iframes dependant on a stat made the game feel extremely inconsistent and unfair at times. It took 3 months of extensive testing by players to even figure out what ADP did, if you weren't following that online you could go for the entire game without even knowing.
Blues were broken because of the first point.
Poise, like in DaS3, was completely worthless and led to RoB/Flynn Straightsword R1 spammy bullshit that everyone hated (and everyone still hates in 3)
Individually these are small points, but they coloured peoples' perception of the game and all combined left people feeling sour after the overwhelmingly good feeling of DaS1.

Demons Souls was suppose to have its servers shutdown years ago but thankfully atlus came in and bought the servers for years longer
so if you get a chance and know people or organize a thread on DSG or online then get demons souls and part from the very beginning

add shit level design to the list, if it wasn't for the DLC areas the base game lacks in decent level design hard. If the whole base game was like the prison after the pursuer it would be much better.
Also is the worst so far at exploration, there's barely any rewards for exploration compared to the others and the enemy encounter design was abysmal at times in the original release.
At least sotfs did fix some of those tings and if i played that version for the first time my opinion of the game would be much better because the DLC areas and bosses are mostly really good.even if i find it disappointing i played it for 450 hours or more
