I grew up with the matrix and this has been my dream since i watched horrible 80's movies about VR and tried the 90s tech it put me off for 20 years and now i hear the same issues are still there

Luckily i have a BIG room in my house i am clearing out and it should be done by the time this comes out as i am getting a new GPU in june/july but it begs the question why bother?
i'd rather put $1200+ back into my PC and save it for next year for a new i7 8 core rig

Just like all new tech VR is currently in its infant stages, give it 5 or 10 years and we'll have it cheap and without any of the current kinks.
Only get it now if you're interested in it less as an entertainment product and rather because it's neat.

its a trend thats a few years away at best from maturing to the point where you'd actually want it. vr will have its uses, i don't think its just a gimmic like wagglan. but the problem now is everything there was hope for has been commercialized by facebook and others. if they don't drive vr into the ground before it matures with flappy bird tier shit (which they're already doing), there might be hope.
i'd honestly just forget about vr for now. check back in a year or so. its just not worth following right now.
They are waiting for E3 and Sony VR to officially "start the competition". They will reveal all the killer apps like wonder book 2, MLP VR episodes, and garbage truck simulator VR

can you explain why? I realize it exhausts your muscles but the more you use it the more endurance you gain. it'd only take a couple weeks of use at 1 hour a day to get used to. The criticism of the wii is justified imho because you're forced to look back to one spot every time you move. At least with VR, you can look wherever you want and still perform actions.
