Why aren't there any good dating sims? Will one ever be made? They're all stuck in this garbage pseudo visual novel format and fucking sucks. There's no real world, depth, choice, etc. It's just shitty 2D garbage in a story that could have been played in a text CYOA book.
Why haven't any devs made a proper AAA dating Sim with like tons of girls, a good open world, depth to choices, and maybe even some fucc. How am I supposed to escape this wretched world and finally get a good virtual GF if there's no fucking outlet to do it on.

Because that's an exceptionally more difficult game to make. Smaller jap devs can't afford that so they go the vn route.
Larger ones will make more money with h games so they do that.
The market for dating sims is relatively small. There is no way to pour AAA-tier funds into a dating sim and expect it to sell, especially in the west.

There's no point to having a dating sim with complex gameplay. Anything more than a Telltale game would just have gameplay for the sake of gameplay, which would just be keeping you from the romance.
And that's aside from the issues of money. Japanese AAAs won't make waifu sims because the otaku that play them are a niche market. And a western AAA wouldn't get past an e3 trailer without being lambasted by SJWs.
