The Crew was surprisingly fun, despite the RPG style progression. It's got a pretty good open world map, and it's something you can just jump into and start driving.

Why do racing devs hate PC?
How do I beat Ryosuke in pic related? in order to keep up with him I can't break or I lose ground, but I derail if I go too fast. Should I switch to his track on the harder sections?

Does the game suck because your computer is shit or are you just bad? Against Keisuke I just tried to keep up with him, then on the last straightaway PLOT ARMOR kicked in and boosted me ahead and won with multi-track drifto. chapter 1-3 are mostly plot driver where you just have to keep up to win, while ryosuke you have to actively try to pass him.

Same way you get good at anything. Just do it. I've been playing racing games since I was a kid, and when i started out I was ramming opponents, blocking their way, using the wall on the outer edge of the raceway to guide my car through a turn because I didn't know how to slow down early enough, and all that because I didn't know how to drive.
