I was both. Now 2011, when it was MW3 vs BF3...that was when I switched. MW3 looked so tinny and simple compared to how amazing BF3 looked and what it promised.
I kept playing Bad Company 2 until the game was a non populated on Ps3. Something about the game was just too much fun. The last fun thing in MW2 was busting boosters.

The problem with bc2 is that all thats left is a few max levels who are ass buddies in a clan and teamstack. which leaves you with stragglers low levels/brs/russians/idiots. so every map pretty much plays out the same and the same chokepoints happen every round. for a game thats supposed to be dynamic, a lot of rounds play out the same. was fun when everyone was knew and figuring out the game but when its just a few tryhard queers that team up to dominate noobs it gets old.

i actually feel like this is the case for most if not every game. some of my best times play video is when i paid for a game when it first released and figured shit out with everyone. unfortunately not even devs can fix something like that, if they wanted to.
Played both. MW2 when I just wanted to feel like a one man army and BC2 when I wanted to setup stupid shit like ambushes and suicide atvs with my squad mates.
I like BC2 game play better though, the vehicles vary it up a bit as well.

Killstreaks in MW2 were a poorly balanced rich-gets-richer system. The harrier was trivial to get (requiring only 7 kills), and the harrier is an almost guaranteed chopper/ac130, which will often lead to nukes. It encouraged a lot of players to camp when they otherwise wouldn't have.
I benefited from that system in that I got dozens upon dozens of nukes. But it sure as hell wasn't balanced and I'm glad the majority of the subsequent games discarded it. MW3's method was OK because you needed 30 gun kills and the MOAB didn't end the game.
Having a good squad and having a plan come together is something i never got from MW2 and it really is the best feeling when working together.
