I will probably bother with this season thing this time.
I play it for the first 2 weeks in every new season. after that I lose interest. first two weeks you gain upgrades and it's fun, after that it's a paragon farming game and that's boring.

Halls of Agony 2/3 until around level 20, then do rifts until max level. Stick to Hard difficulty, if you find a legendary weapon while levelling, crank up it to Torment and keep decreasing.

very first thing you do is go to the place where you get Kanai's Cube. you nab the cube, but you also find Kanai's Throne. there's a chest with a 100 dps white weapon. pick that up, its good for ~20 levels. its a 2h axe, so demon hunter need not apply
at level 20, you can find a helmet with a socket in it. keep it rubied up as much as you can
the 'correct' difficulty is one in which you're killing weak mobs in 2 or 3 clicks. if you do it in less, more difficulty. if more, bring it down

I rolled a DH in the middle of last season and enjoyed it way more. Only problem is they are locked into Dawn and the hat that gives Vengeance the damage reduction%
I hope Blizzard ends up removing CoE overall as well, fucking ring just leads to degenerate gameplay.

Diablo 1 has great atmosphere and a decent plot, not to retarded or comic booky, gameplay is pretty bad, game is overall pretty basic and lacking.
Diablo 2 has awful repetitive and boring gameplay, everything looks the same, the classes are all dull and boring itemization is garbage items are bland stat increases 9 times out of 10, classes are unbalanced and some builds are completly usless, the atmosphere from the first game is gone and the game looks and feels like a saturday morning cartoon, the plot is deviant art levels of awful and it rapes the lore hard and the game offer's absolutely no challenge
Diablo 3 (RoS) has great gameplay with plenty of replayability and loads of extra modes, plot and atmosphere is better than 2 but not as good as 1, music is amazing and fits really well, classes are very well done and play differently from each other, spells are all useful and satisfying, the game has great items with loads of depth and customization and no one build or class completely dominating.
The only people who think D2 is good are the casuals with nostalgia goggles on, D2 was casual garbage back in the day and it still is now.

Mostly the fact that you don't need to grind five thousand hours to get decent gear. But then you have adventure mode where you can go anywhere you want and do "Bounties" that give you loot rewards. There's also rifts that are basically randomized dungeons. That's about it.The story content is also pretty decent compared to the crap that vanilla had.
