I still have yet to finish Rin's route though. Ever since just doing Hanako's route in the demo and subsequent release and then finally doing the other girls' routes about half a year ago, I just can't muster through Rin's route with her cloudy character development and Hisao's utter shit characterization. Have just barely made it into Act 2 but nothing's gripping me. Which is a shame cause I always enjoyed Rin as a character but not from a romanceable-perspective.

I think that guy is some sort of evil spirit. Years ago I spent a day or two cleaning up the code for the alpha so it could actually be played in-engine, which even without graphics for most routes is quite a bit more comfortable then pastebin text. The night after I put it on a filesharing site for KSG to download, the bastard materialized under my bed and just started laughing at me for the whole night. Only stopped after I started swinging blindly under there with a baseball bat.
What good timing for a KS thread. I've been playing this again and I think I like Liklys route the most. So far I've completed Lilly and Emi's routes and am halfway through Shizune's. The most striking thing to me is the very anticlimactic confession in Shizune's route. I think I didn't notice this the first time I played because it was my first route. For Lilly and Emi's, you can really tell that the story is building up to that confession, especially in Lilly's case. With Shizune's though, Hisao just calmly asks her to be his girlfriend and she says OK. Act 2 ends immediately afterward. How disappointing.
