You strafe around one foot, attacking every so often and when he raises it you go to the other foot and keep attacking that. Smouldering lake leaves a good first impression then becomes dull. You can tell this was not an area they spent much time on, and it wouldn't shock me if there's a cut area beyond it. But hey it's not FWOOSH FWOOSH so I cant really complain.

I didn't put any points in to endurance until the last third of the game or so, if you use it well and avoid panic dodging or greedy attacks then you shouldn't have too much of an issue with stamina. As with most bosses you just have to be patient while you're fighting- seems counter intuitive because his fight doesn't slow down much, but you just have to take some time to learn his moves and get good at dodging 'through' his strikes and not away from them (accept for when he charges you, roll left or right there). Try to stay in the center of the arena too, getting wall fucked is certain demise against most bosses.

I was not expecting those screaming fucks, nearly shit myself the first time. The jailers aren't too bad though once you just come to terms with the fact that you're going to lose HP. I recommend just not estusing after one drains you, even though you may only have a fraction of your HP their attacks are super easy to dodge so just get up in their face and fuck them up. Pillar strat doesn't work in phase two since they shoot straight down and not at an angle. It's pretty easy to avoid after you know how it works but I will say it's pretty fucking stupid how fast it kills you, it doesn't even feel like it's punishing you for bad play the first or second time around because it kills you before you can even learn how it works and how to avoid it. Other than that he's a pretty cool fight though.

Catacombs have shitty bonfire placement. Until you learn the shortcut, it's insane trying to get to the bonfire, then you fight Lord Bojangle and there's a second bonfire, only to walk 40 feet and find another one up the stairs, and one down below.

In my case whenever I need tongues I just go to the catacombs and hang around at the other side of the bridge. Chameleon to hide, and then Force to knock them off. Simple, easy.
If they take the bait, you cut the bridge and use Force to stop them getting to safety (managed to kill a whole 4-man gank squad this way, it was glorious). If they're not retards they'll use the safe route, but this leaves a small area where you can still Force the host off.
In some scenarios I have just sat there and watched the host die to the angry skeleton brigade. This method is gimmicky and can force you to sit there and wait whilst you shitpost on /v/, but it's better than trying to take on groups.
As an invader you can't expect honourable 1v1 combat, you have to use the environment and be a scummy fuck to win. In a way, DS3 has fulfilled dickwraith into an art form because all the "muh honour" fags and people playing for funsies will go elsewhere, and now if you get invaded by a Darkwraith and you're alone you know they aren't going to fuck around, they just want you dead.

Well the first time you meet them is at road of sacrifices. Then at the firelink shrine after you defeat deacons. Then you find anri in the catacombs after that, alone. You'll meet anri again next to the bridge where you fought wolnir. If she isn't in any of these areas check the church of yorshka at boreal valley, it's where she ends up next. Finally she'll be at gwyns room if you've gotten that far into the game. It all depends if you've done the hollow questline.

the only greatswords I liked are the farron greatsword (don't upgrade) and Lorian's greatsword (get that shit to +5 ASAP) for that sweet hyper armor on their art skills. if you can tank the one hit the enemy can get off on you before being sent to the fucking ceiling in a blaze of fire it's worth it. haven't tried the bonfire greatsword. the GUTS looking ultragreatsword is trash, unfortunately

I just got to the keep after doing Cathedral. I had a rocky start picking Deprived and forgetting to even get a gift, but pretty much things have been fairly easy since.
Anyways, I'm in the keep and I have two questions. First is there a way to not get fucked by the slugs when coming down the ladder from the Wolf? Second, those big ass branch wielding red skull motherfuckers are tough since they are so fat and the unpoisoned/unslow land around them is so tiny. Am I missing something, or do I just need to man up and get poisoned while fighting each one? Trying to more or less clear out areas as I go through
