Nah, not worth it. If you wanna relive the days find a private pre renewal server. Low rate if you're into the grinding or high for pvp.

I play once in a while on a low rate private server, it's a nice dose of nostalgia beating down enemies with mammonite/CR/CT

Iirc there was a huge update to RO that added 3rd jobs to all classes. People refer to that stage of that game onwards as renewal whereas the ones that stop have transend jobs are pre renewal and really old version as classic.

I tried renewal, wasnt as fun anymore since they made it impossible to insta cast alot of spells and added lots of cooldowns; as well as the 3rd jobs being really super powerful. They changed alot of the monsters' stats and how experience was gained. That's all I know, the renewal change was a bit too much for me although I gave it a chance, it wasnt as fun as the old days I guess.

I spent like 3 years of my life in that thing, including making a semi-succesful server with 350+ players. Shit was beatiful and still cherrish those memories up to this day.

Me and some friends i met there tried to return to it and failed. We no longer have the time / stamina or illusion we had back there. We lasted like 2 months at most.
