Where the fuck should it be set bros?
Space.
Or Hawaii.
Chicago
because i live hereand watchdogs was a mistake
A new city.
>>334380975
Agreed
Also I kind of want it to be a new city built from the ground up, with elements of different cities built into it.
Azeroth
Blizzard and Rockstar team up and make the most jewish game of all time
>>334380889
Moscow.
Might as well go full slavshit after teasing it in 4.
It would have the bonus of killing off the whole shit franchise.
80s bogota with all the pablo escobar nonsense
>>334380975
Early 90s Chicago would be the best. Set it during November/December and it'd be golden.
I'd also like a game based off Philadelphia, Boston, or New Orleans. Chicago is my first choice though. I massively miss the games set in earlier eras. Getting out of the 2000's and getting back to the 80s and 90s would be a welcome change in my book.
I'd love Vice City in the 90s but I wouldn't actually mind if they did Liberty City againI live on the edge of Williamsburg though so I'm biased
tokyo
VIIVVAAAA LASventuras
Iceland or Svalbard, I want something unique for once
the outback
>>334382113
at this point you could set a game in the 2000s and it'd still fit the criteria.
>>334381165
1990s Moscow? That sounds kinda awesome.
any city, as long as its futuristic
1800's wild West
Basically the entire area around the great lakes, scaled down a bit of course.
Kinda like what San Andreas did. Main city is chicago and the story takes you over detroit all the way to toronto.
I really think GTA V was the logical conclusion to the series. It won't be and I'm sure GTA VI will get made, but what on earth could it possibly add? What possible type of mission, gunplay, or activity minigame could they add?
Not to mention, if the multiplayer for GTA VI has anything less than what GTA V has now, its going to be a colossal failure.
>>334383210
>GTA V was the logical conclusion to the series.
yea , there's no way Rock* could come up with another generic story based around criminals and theft
>>334382576
svalbard? wtf? why?
>>334383210
there is still so much to add anon
I would love something set in the far future with hovercars and lots of futuristic guns.
>>334384186
I'd settle for a 3D remake of GTA2
>>334383456
>GTA IV
>GTA V
>generic story

I want anywhere city again
North korea, start it out in tokyo or some shit but end up there
>>334380889
>Where the fuck should it be set bros?
Late 60's era Capitol City. Acid and politics.
>Mission that involves doing shady shit so that the war in the east goes on
>Mission that involves raiding the Marble House
>It ain't me starts playing
London in the late 70s/early 80s
Get sum proppa cockney accents going lad gonna make some old bills brown bread.
>>334382113
Philly is cool and everything, but it's kind of a generic city. Boston would probably be the better choice.
NOW if you could cross the river into South Jersey as well, that may be fun.
>>334382924
this would b gud
>>334384465
GTA V's plot is pretty much every heist movie ever made.
Not complaining though since I like heist movies.
>>334381714
I like this
>>334380975
How's training going, Phil?
>>334380889
Carcer City
You play as just some dude that gets into some heavy shit and becomes a badass.
And since it's Carcer City it could turn into Manhunt for a few missions and people could randomly try to run up on you and murder you.
Texas
>>334384831
I want another journey like SA though. I really liked the odyssey feel that game had despite it being in reality pretty small. Everything being a sole landmass in V ruined it for me desu.
>>334380889
Your mom pussy.
>>334385028
That's what felt off about V. You could traverse the entire map before finishing Franklin's first mission. Every other game in the series slowly unveiled the map's zones and let you scour it as you progressed through the story. V just dumps their biggest map ever right on your lap from the offset and it's so overwhelming you can hardly think of where to start exploring.

Well you do have a point.
Vice City or Las Venturas are the only feasible ones. No other towns have similar mass appeal and worldwide icon status. Problem is that modern Miami is pretty lame, and Las Vegas is largely uninteresting outside the Strip so it wouldn't be very good as the only city. Plus we just had a sunny palm tree setting in GTA, Miami would feel pretty similar except more water I guess. Really I'm half expecting the next GTA to just kinda expand the V map so San Fierro or Venturas would make sense if it was done like that
ante-cyberpunk styled tokyo/chiraq mix with nanosuits and jetpacks and primitive bipedal robot enemies - a gritty JSRF vibe - could have a relations system based around various gangs of people fighting the coming future age and inversely gangs of people who represent the future ages; random bands of rogue government agents with access to stores of super tech, organized mafias of space-drugrunners that have bane styled venom-esque fueled enforcers, biker gangs and cartels who are threatened by the new influence of the neo-gangs, the seedy government
of course this would mean having your own gang system, which would play off of having specialists for heists in GTA V, so you'd be able to deck your gang out in certain pre or post neo gear and different perks and allies would come with flying the respective colors
>>334385352
Any new GTA set in Vice City would pale in comparison to the PS3 game, since the music, time period and characters were so good
My instinct tells me that after GTA 5 they need to go northward
I like the idea of a Chicago-Detroit-Toronto trinity, so you get fresh new Canadian stuff in there, but I fear this would be too ambitious for Rockstar and we're going back to Vice City or Liberty City
>>334385607
Rockstar doesn't do imaginative settings, they only copy present or past places
San Fierro
>those bridges
>nearby rural wine country
>ALCATRAZ
>those hills
>lombard street
>biggest chinatown outside china
>easily lampooned liberalism
it's an easy choice.

>>334385678
Three cities isn't happening anymore. And I don't really see what is that unique about those three cities. Chicago is New York light, Detroit is just miserable but not in a fun way, Toronto seems super generic with shitty glass chinktowers being built everywhere like Vancouver
>>334385678
They had Yankton in V, which is right along the Canadian border. I figure they're reluctant to take on the north/midwest regions as they believe iconic locations are a large part of the appeal to the game. They haven't really taken on the deep south properly, given they only had Miami on its own and none of the rest of Florida.
