Just after you land after a roll (about 1/4 of the animation once you land) you normally become vulnerable to damage. This ring adds i-frames until about 3/4 of the landing animation.

Absolutely insane vs bosses and players. It let's you spam roll making bosses like Pontiff and Dancer a joke.

I'm positive it'll get toned down. I'm also positive they're going to increase the drop rate for Titanite Shards in the early game. I've had to farm for shards WAY too many times. I think they intended for them to drop from EVERY enemy and just assumed I'd always find enough. That was stupid of them. I cleared Farron Keep and whatnot last night and still barely had what I needed for a pair of +3 weapons.

Catacombs of Carthus. The that opens up after you kill Abyss Watchers.
Can't remember where exactly just look around everywhere for items. It wasn't too hidden. Don't get confused with the Milkring, that one makes you invis while rolling.

I'm pretty sure they expected you to swim in titanite shards because at some point they drop from every single fucking mob for a while. Not to mention you can buy an unlimited amount from the old lady. Unless you're talking about large or chunks.

But I didn't. The fucking droprate is too low. I almost never found them as loot from dead monsters.

Not until much later when you have the right umbral ashes. In the early game, it's fucking dumb and needs a rework. They simply don't fucking drop often enough. At all.

You should see Lothric Castle titanite drops.
Holy fuck every mob drops like 2 large titanite shards and every second item is a titanite scale/chunk/twinkling.

They drop a perfectly reasonable amount, keeping people from getting +4 rape weapons after the first boss is fine. You go from wishing you had more to absolutely drowning in them within the span of about 10 minutes, and it's right after you've finally got enough drops to upgrade your weapon past the point of needing shards.

By the time I reached smoldering lake, I had 50+ small shards and 40 large shards, a couple chunks.

I think the rates are fine. They cleverly tuned the rates to increase as you progress to keep from being able to cap your weapon upgrades too easily.

That's too late. Jesus Nobody cares about Titanite Shards in the fucking mid-late game.

The issue is Fromsoft assumed the drop rate was enough to give most people what they needed. It wasn't. I fell into a probability gap and ended up completely fucked. They need a better drop rate. At least from one or two kinds of enemies. I'd say if they made it so the transforming darkness hollows, Lothric Knights and maybe the angel knight had a higher drop rate, I'd be cool with it.

I should be able to make two different +3 weapons without grinding or going terribly far beyond the Undead Settlement. If they don't give enough shards for that, they did it wrong.

That's fine. The first few bosses are mad easy anyway. If you're only on a +2, it's possible that you've missed an area, a few of them branch pretty far.

Carthus Milkring is the invis roll and 3+ dex.
Carthus Bloodring is the i-frame boost.

Rolley-polley skeletors in catacombs have almost 100% of dropping TS.
If you search around you'll get enough to upgrade several weapons to +3.

It lowers your resistances by half. It matters, especially in PvP where your opponent isn't going to do a superslam attack with five hours of recovery time. Goodluck winning counter trades when your defense is horseshit
