Is anyone even looking forward to this anymore after more information got out? This game is going to be a massive disappointment.
The majority of this board wasn't even old enough to have played the original game on release yet they are the target demographic for this game.

I am. I never got into gaming until I was well into my adult years so I don't have any nostalgiafag memories of the original. The biggest complaint, after all, is that it's changing the base combat system from the original.
With that having been said, I'm not in a rush to play it. I'll wait until the Complete Edition, with all episodes in one package plus whatever they decide to hold back as DLC, is released.
Expecting it to be shit, square-enix is shit tier. Every ff since the merger has been worse than the last. Makes me sad because these games where a big part of my childhood, I reckon they have to let the franchise go.

Final Fanstasy is trash.
I was very enthusiastic about it when it was announced but my excitement diminishes with each update because it sounds like it will be quite far removed from what the original FF7 is.
I dont think it will replicate the original feelings I had or some of the unique elements of character and humour that made the first one really good.
Having said all that I am still excited to see these areas, characters and monsters reimagined for a technically superior machine and imagine I will enjoy it greatly.
Not to mention the soundtrack which I would have thought would have the full orchestra playing it and hopefully not just some extra synth shit in the background like the FFX one did

Noara is working as art director on FFXV right now but I'd guess most of his work is done since he's been on XV since 2012 and that would have been when he did most of his artwork. Yes. I'm not that hyped because it's still a long ways to go, but I know I'll love it. It's Final Fantasy, has Cloud, has an action battle system. I know I'll like it. Same with XV, Persona 5, KH3, and other franchises I just know too well. Because I don't hate video games, and understand developers choices.

If you really want to replay FFVII there's nothing stopping you, it's easily available on multiple platforms. It's not like it's going to have the same impact as the original. You're not going to get the same experience you did when you were 12 and first played it.

i would literally just put the original Zack death as it was and make the game end at the train station where cloud meets tifa, 5 years after the nibelheim incident and days, maybe weaks after Zack died and show the scene where his fabricated personality was created and end it there, better fucking hook that leads to the original FF7, doesnt shit on the original story, and doesnt have that retarded ending we got in CC
