GTA V was so bogged down been realistic and cool that it forgot it was actually GTA most of the game and the missions where boring as fuck.
This was actually pretty great and had the whole true crimes vibe to it (same devs) and actually tried something different.
Not as silly as shits row and not as serious as gta.
