You could make the roster a mix of Z-Listers and randomly generated villains and nobody would tell the difference, you'd also have an element of prison management and villain recruitment to it and you'd have to deal with stuff like break-outs and villains going AWOL during missions (like that would happen to Captain Boomerang all the time, but you could always recapture him).

That would disappoint unless the constructs were ridiculously varied and you could customize movesets or abilities like an incredibly in depth character action game.
The nature of Lantern powers are only limited by the users imagination, it'd be pretty lame if it was just "green energy blast" or "big green mallet" or "big green gun" like they pull in the cartoons (I think the movie did this as well).
The only time I was pleasantly surprised with Justice League's depiction was that episode where they get turned into kids and John Stewart makes a giant robot suit to fight in.
I know it's cliche, but Spider Man by Platinum would kick ass. Specially if it was actuallya semi remake of the PS1 game.

I'd like a similar game where you play as Doctor Doom, a mix of empire management, doing research, infiltrating nation's governments to siphon off resources and build up your Latverian military power. The ultimate goal is to crush the fantastic 4 and rule the world. If you could do X-Com style missions to attack various points of interest/steal or sabotage technology/assassinate anti-Doom figures, with recruitable supervillains and the potential to run into superheros, who you could capture and reaserch so you could give your non-super operatives superpowers, that would be icing on the cake.

Literally no reason NOT to do a sequel now. They even have the same storyline. Fighting games are growing as esports, esports itself is growing, Disney has an in with Capcom and people still playing UMvC3 to this day, the exposure to the IP would also grow.

A Superman game organized like Super Mario 64 where you're placed in big but not enormous environments for Superman to solve multiple objectives.
Different neighborhoods of Metropolis, Smallville, Gotham City, Qurac, Rhelasia, other planets like Apokolips, a Brainiac satellite, etc.
Small enough to give focus and design meaningful events, but large enough to accommodate Superman's abilities and general functional range, as well as being able to dot random street-level events Superman can intervene in.
Also has a dating sidequest where you can have Clark pursue the girl of your choice:
