I probably don't, but if it sufficient for me to beat the game on hardest difficulty, it is good enough.
As for build variety, unless Crate fixed their game, agro is broken as fuck. Which makes group play a shit.

Best one, or the one I enjoyed the most was a vitality damage build that was a Warder. Damage done mostly with devouring swarm, grasping vines and wendigo totem.
I also liked demolitionist, but in the end, he was a glass cannon that could not keep up. Then there was a Summoner that is a Shaman/Occultist (don't remember the name of the combo) with all kinds of summons (agro comes in to play in this build too, since you just have to stand and don't attack anything).

My first ever character was a 2H Soldier before Shaman was ever even revealed. I primarily like 2H builds in games but for some reason, never remade it and got as far as my old one. I made a new Warder and got him to the low 20s but I think I deleted him in favor of other build options and lack of an actual worthwhile build to follow at the time. MAYBE ONE DAY I'LL HAVE A HIGH-LEVEL WARDER.
My current 'main' is a Pyromancer (Demo/Occ) around the end of Act III Elite. It's really fun. My dps is insane so I can mow down most anything but I'm not really paying much attention to resists. Right now, poison/acid really fucks me up.
Shaman/Occultist is Conjurer. I have one of those but it is only in the low 20s.

Tried to make an Occutist/Soldier shield tank based on Sigil of consumption. Turns out some enemies are immune to life leech (like half of BoC). Any suggestions to salvage the build?

Not that high, but I'm almost invincible with all the passives I have. I hit for around 800-1200. All my devotion went into Turtle, Tower and I wanted to get the Black hole.

Really fucking enjoying my Conjurer. Hit 70 last night and have all the devotion shrines up until Ultimate. Im thinking after this something like a warder or something with a demo in it seeing as all my fucking drops are for everything but the classes I fucking play.
I skipped on Passive Skill Simulator and bought Diablo 3 instead.
My character does things aside from autoattack.

It's a competent clone of Titan Quest, it's a Diablo clone therefore belongs to a simplistic gameplay model and depends on its art to carry it.

I have the savage relic for a rifthound and tomb of og'napash for a skeleton that gives buffs. The devotion that randomly procs summons for more rifthounds should be bonds of bysmael
Honestly I think Titan Quest is just the better game. The classes in Grim Dawn are so awkward and poorly designed. Half of the skill descriptions are utterly useless. I like the atmosphere and some of the ideas (like constitution, crafting and cheap respecs), but TQ just has a ton more variety in locations and enemies.
And that new POE-esque skill tree thing is just a convoluted mess. It's easily one of the worst skill tree systems I have ever seen in an ARPG.

Devotion will be a lot better whenever somebody mods in a search feature. Devotion offers a fuckton of variability to builds. Depending on how you build a character, it can even make them ridiculously OP.

Yeah Soldier would be a good fit if you want a lot of survival passives and skills. Demo has a lot of abilities but they're not so much 'wizard'-ish. Shaman has some good survivability as well--Warder (Sha/Sol) is generally seen as the strongest Mastery in terms of survivability, toughness, defense, etc.

Couldn't even bring myself to finish it once. Way too much fucking padding and optional exploration which isn't marked as such. In something like yer Path of Exile at least bullshit exploration areas are different zones so it's fairly easy to avoid them. In Grim Dawn you'll spend 40 minutes going off down a path only to end up back where you started. Not to mention the terrible enemy variety.
The character building was great and the itemization was well done, but the moment of moment of clicking on monsters made me want to die.

Honestly I won't even switch to a full on TSS build. Trozan's set works just as well with OFF and it's just THAT good to pass up. Hybrid OFF/TSS for life.
Also remember to get Nullification, it cancels out Unstoppable elites with their pesky aura. For even more freeze.

I'll probably do the same as you, honestly. OFF is so FUN to use and so efficient at clearing trash. Wonderful skill and TSS is fine for clearing whatever the hell is left over.
