I'm honestly not sure what exactly to count as my first console. The first console I played on (I think it was the Genesis) or the first console that was purchased in my lifetime (N64)? Because my family were into vidya since the halcyon days of the Atari 2600 (which we actually still own, along with a collection of games for it that, yes, includes that execrable E.T. game), and hence my first experiences were through the systems that they had already bought.

Still have it to this day, and it still works as well. My mom gave it to me, from my dad, as there was a very long plane delay and I was being very restless.

I'm still upset that I got rid of my Dreamcast. That said, apparently they're not really that expensive, so maybe I can just buy another sometime.
That said, first console ever wasthe Nintendo 64,although I do remember that at one point, I did have a PC that could play some games on it (we had Mortal Kombat 2 and 3, plus Tomb Raider 2, I believe?), as well as a Game Boy Color. Early childhood for me is a blur by this point.
But N64 was definitely my first home console.

NES from a garage sale, then a PS1 from another garage sale. The first console which was store bought was a N64. First one I bought only for myself was a PS2 then an Xbox. First games ever were some old ass WW2 flight Sims on PC. Needless to say I've been an idort from the start. Though the trade off of having basically every console until seventh gen was that I never had many games, I just rented them.
