There's something different about the music in the first game that the other two games in the trilogy failed to capture. It's like they use better instruments or have a better tempo than the music in the latter two games can't match.
The music didn't charm me the same way that the original game's did until Apollo Justice, which I think has the second-best soundtrack in the series.

JFA just sounds straight out off compared to the other games. AAI comes the closest to capturing the feeling AA had, imo, but T&T generally had a good OST too.

I think it's actually one of the biggest issues with 2. Music plays a huge part in AA and 2's music is such a step down that I think it's a big reason why people think so badly of 2

Best objection, logic and allegro cross-examination. There are better moderato cross-examination themes later on, but the differences in intensity between moderato and allegro in the first one is my favorite.

I think the more prevalent factor is that it has two of the worst cases in the series. But yeah, combined with the music, it starts off very underwhelming coming straight from the first game.

it means it doesn't have a lot of good songs (though there are Great Revival and Investigation ~ Core - which becomes the de facto Matt Engarde theme - in there which are great, but that's kind of it)

Also forgot to say Objection 2001 in PLvsAA is only in the first case, and they use that game's Objection (Objection 2012) for the rest.

I disagree I think T&T's was pretty good. JFA's is iffy for the most part but it has my favorite credits theme in the series.
