Sony is really pushing the boundaries in terms of graphics with their exclusive games. It's amazing what they can do with the PS4, which isn't even a high end machine.
I really want the remake to be good, if it does good we might get new Jak and daxter games or sly Cooper games. Other than that, I'm looking forward to the great humor like the original game had

For real though, I see the potential out of this game and I bet it's real fun and all, but I wanna shake someone down for letting this slide. Also the card system gimmick sounds like a horrible idea. Just make the gold weapons appear somewhere else since they took out the OG level where it was originated. And I'll be happy collecting gold bolts for them.
Anyone feel like they modernized/casualized this game to the ground? It's like it was made for DSP-type of players who couldn't go past a single level without dying. The health from venders I found extremely unnecessary.

Most people are going off the trainwreck that was Order1633 which all the trailers showed in-game engine rendered cutscenes, just not on a PS4 but on a higher spec machine in-house.

Seriously the PS2 came out 16 years ago. It was the weakest of its gen (not really counting Dreambaby).
16 years later, with like 40x the amount of RAM, on Hardware that is the strongest of its generation, a "supercharged PC" if you will. How is it unable to run a cartoony game, a SINGLE PLAYER game like that at only 30fps?

The first game has aged kinda poorly, but starting with Going Commando I think they're still fun and look reasonably good.
Simplest way is to get the HD trilogy on PS3, then grab the Future games for dirt cheap since all but Into the Nexus are at least a few years old.
