HCTP had the perfect gameplay and areas, while SYM had the best season mode and the ability to roam the arena back stage and go out into new york city in first person view and do side missions was amazing. Also, being able to climb the smackdown fist was great too.

Depends on your preference. For arcadey games, you can't go wrong with HCTP and SvR 2006. For wrasslin sims, No Mercy, Fire Pro and 2K16 (PC) are GOAT.

Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 is a top ten choice. It's most likely because of my Japanese wrestling. It also came out right before some historic moments in Japanese wrestling history. Where exoduses in All Japan and New Japan occured and the formations of Pro Wrestling NOAH and Pro Wrestling Zero-One.
