Only consoles I owned were the SNES and PS2, so I wouldnt know.
Especially since I dont think shooters are that great on consoles and Im not the type for racing/sport games... on the other hand, I would really love to play the Ratched and Clank series, the PS 2 I got back then came with a demo disc for R&C and I loved it.

Ghost of Sparta is better than III though, and probably the only game since the first one to really hit on the tragic side of Kratos' character instead of the angry retard that he's portrayed as in every other game. I seriously don't get why III gets all the attention, it's by far the worst of the mainlines, none of the bosses are good in anything besides design, and the puzzles aside from Hera's garden are generally crap. Even Ascension had better puzzle design and the pre-patch Trial of Archimedes was the first real challenge that the series has had in a long time.

It's a good remaster in the sense that it's running at 1080p/60fps, but there's no way in hell the $40 price point was justified when the entire GOW collection for PS3 costs less than $20 now. But the paragraph above shows how I feel about the game as a whole.

There's more ingredients to a good game besides combat depth, anon. The art design and level design in the first two games were quite good and SQUARE SQUARE won't get you anywhere if you play on anything above the normal difficulty (especially the last boss of the first game).
Sound design and OST are usually great too.
