Wrong start, like the PS3, though the PS4 has such a lead that as much as Xbone reshapes itself it wont catch up like the PS3 did.

Because of terrible pr backlash of the xbox one when it was revealed. It was also built to be a home media entertainment device than a video game console in the direction they wanted xbox to take, probably why the console is inferior to ps4.

I got one for Christmas a couple years ago but haven't used it since I played the new inFamous and it was boring as shit and apparently the new Killzone is too
Bloodborne looks pretty good but is there fucking anything else worth playing on it that isn't on PC or just a re-release of a game already out on something else?

About normal? I mean, really this is going to be the pattern for the rest of the gen, console hardware doesn't change so the drama happens pretty early on and then settles down. Platforms that win tend to KEEP winning because of network effects, they tend to get more stuff by virtue of installed base, people want to play with their friends, etc. Microsoft can keep the bone limping along indefinitely because they have enough money to flat out pay for exclusives no matter what, and Nintendo is winding down the Wii U.

"Hate" has nothing to do with it anon. The PS4 is just better in every way anyone cares about (Kinect just never took off), and not only that but there's been anything from no premium to a DISCOUNT on it which never happens normally (MS finally got aggressive about price cutting but it was way too late and they're locked in to some of their bad early decisions for the whole gen).
Really this was a pretty simple gen by historical standards. Nintendo and MS did weird quirky stuff, while Sony simply made the best focused vidya appliance they could at a reasonable starting price point. The end. Really, the fight was over before it started not because Sony was brilliant but because they were solid and competent while the other two barely even bothered to directly compete at all.
For people who are fine with or want multiple consoles then the Wii U and Xbone both will always have something to offer. But lots of the population only wants one, and if they have to pick just one then the PS4 has the most going for it for a majority.
