Because a ton of PS2 games are actually good and are reviewed by casual cucks who don't play video games, plus it has a truly massive library full of most genres you have access too. Plus, there were a wide breadth of franchises that experimented in the PS2 era, like YGO and Duel Masters actually making attempts at decent games. It's the exact reason why I personally say the NDS was the best console ever made. A lot of fun games, a lot of experimental games, a lot of hidden gems and well-known classics, and a massive pool of titles to explore out of pure curiosity.

I still can't handle Japanese acting. In the USA we tend to care about naturalistic acting. We want people to behave as they would in real life. Japan is still highly influenced by stage and kabuki acting where everything needs to be played up and overly dramatic to "sell" it. It makes me want to punch characters and be like, "STOP BEING WEIRD. JUST BE NORMAL."
I'm actually speaking far less about voice acting than I am physical acting. Japanese acting is influenced by their theatre traditions that are based in Noh and Kabuki styles of theatre. It is similar to the western practice of Comedia Del Arte. Western society abandoned those traditions a long time ago, though, as acting began to focus more on naturalism.

I've grown to utterly despise American acting nowadays for that specific "STOP BEING WEIRD. JUST BE NORMAL" mindset, actually. Acting out emotions is always something they tend to minimize, and a charismatic character with a very vocal attitude is always as subdued and minute as they can possibly be. It's fine when a character is in a situation where it's just two individuals talking, but when you're in a dramatic situation with emotions flaring, mumbling to someone else before barking at them for two seconds does not feel natural in and of itself. I get this CONSTANTLY in Western media, and it's precisely the reason why I've grown to detest it.
I miss characters who were exuberant and exaggerated, considering these are often works of fiction that we're following, and people in fiction, as well as people throughout history, have found themselves behaving in a manner that would not be considered "natural". Especially considering acting "natural" only works in situations and scenarios wherein you are only behaving naturally. Video games are legitimately the LAST place where acting "natural" should be common, unless your characters are in such disinteresting scenarios that everything they do is commonplace. Even characters who battle monsters on a common basis will have plenty of reason to roar at them before the battle starts and laugh triumphantly when they win. But for him to just shrug off that hard-fought battle and spout a witty one-liner before flipping his coat and tipping his fedora screams "I WANT TO ACT LIKE A SUPER COOL DUDE!!!" rather than "I feel that this battle was pivotal, and want to make a note of it casually."

If we are talking emperical data you'd have to find every review for each game and then deduce it by how many positive versus negative and then ratio it out of games
The problem is that isn't going to happen, since shit like colecovision didn't have a metacritic back then so you'd have to do some sort of math problem to properly ratio that out and alot of the games back then were homemade/bootlegged so it might be inflated
