hold the analog stick diaganolly down (left or right) and press the x and L button at the same time, if you're like most people, it will take longer to press the L button and you'll be naturally wavedashing.
at the start you'll only be able to do about one every ten tries, but if you have as much game autism as I do, you'll practice for 4 hours a day for about a week and itl feel natural and easy to perform.
