When I first played Demons Souls I expected really difficult gameplay and a challenge. But all you have to do in the game is to wait for an attack animation to happen. When the attack whiffs you hit the enemy in its recovery frames.
The only time I died was at bosses obviously and when I got to impatient and tried to rush enemies.
