But I finally got to 100% SotFS. I already had completed DS1 and the original DS2, but was missing two last cheevos in Scholar.
But my OCD made me to go on a detour and clear all the DLCs once more, just to get an extra copy of all unique items, so the final run had to be stretched quite a bit.

I've tried literally almost every build you could think of in dark souls 1. The only weapon I have never used are ultra great swords (aside from bkgs). I really want to try a zweihander. I might make a buff build with it. I love using an estoc buff build on a level 40-50 something mage.

Of course, went for the one and only Rock build. SL 65 Cleric + Havel ring is enough to one-hand his shit and use Great Magic Barrier with an additional atunement slot.
Staggering bosses is such a fun experience.
And I finally made him darkwraith too but there aren't anyone to invade in the fun places nowadays at that soul level. I don't care bout PvP in obvious places, darkwraiths are meant to ruin people's runs, not fight honorably.
Also I reached Darkwood Forest' shortcut door from the other side without having opened it for the first time, scratch that one off the bucket list.
I'm currently in the Tomb of Giants, but I really doubt that anyone plays as human in there, so I lost motivation to finish the run, despite how fun being Havel is.

Well, they've added a ring that absorbs souls in pre-SotFS patch. Although it's the worst possible band-aid solution they could have come up with.
Now you have to waste a ring slot on it if you don't want to inflate your SM. They could've just make it an option in the menu.
Or better - make SM to be based on souls SPENT not gained.
Although, I honestly don't sympathize with the MUH META whiners. I personally found the idea of dedicated "arena" pvp in Dark Souls stupid.

What I think is that you shouldn't have to join a covenant to PvP in "arenas" (such as Oolacile township in DaS1, or the entrance of the Iron Keep in DaS2).

Magic build if you have the DLC, it may take about 8-10 hours to get the spell that will one shot everything though and to get the equips to do it. Other than that Pyromancy works well. You can even speed run on a level 1 if you are have the know how and know where.

Dark Souls 2 I generally just roamed around and found out where I was supposed to go. It really is ''if there's enemies, then you're going the right way'' type of direction. You can find out if you can progress further or not if you have a branch that heals petrification.

Story and ambience is really close. Really, REALLY close, at least so far. The moment you fight the first boss and after that when you get to the hub area, you'll feel exactly what I mean. Gameplay is worse, in my opinion.

If you're not sure what I mean, they made it so halberds do their optimal damage if you hit the enemy with the actual blade and significantly less if you hit them with the pole. Made it so you had to actually be good at spacing to do the most damage.

You need to raise your equip load. You do that by rasing Endurance or with Havel's Ring. You probably will still fatroll with the heavier sets, though. You gotta choose between speed or defense.

I went in blind though. I saw the locked door in Darkroot Forest, I wanted to see what was behind so I farmed the trees until I could afford it. I never even noticed the path to DarkRoot Basin until much later.

My build uses a great club+15 and Havels' shit. At the early game go naked and use a club you buy at the merchant at undead burg. Once you get to blighttown find the great club in the swamp and upgrade that bad boy. Also get power within and sunlight blade and most bosses will die in like 3 hits
Started as a cleric this time going for virtuous paladin. For some reason I'm having the most trouble I ever have, tauros took two tries, gargoyles took three and a summon, and the capra is kicking my ass. Maybe I'll grab the drake sword, I don't like the moveset of my mace or the claymore very much.
Anyone else have this weird pixelation in the games backgrounds? Any idea or a fix for this? Turning up the DoF resolution doesn't seem to affect it.
